Friends of the Earth are the official charity partner for Grand Designs Live 2018. This year they sold refillable bottles to help assist with our campaign to 'ban the bottle'.
At both the London and Birmingham show Kevin McCloud chaired a panel as they discussed Plastic Surgery – reducing plastic pollution. Visitors were be able to hear about the negative impact plastic has on the environment and what we should be doing to reverse the vicious cycle. Kevin was joined by Craig Bennett and Emma Priestland from Friends of the Earth, James Shaw of James Shaw Design, Vanessa Yuan of EcoBirdy, and Andrew Eversden from Join the Pipe who discussed how we can we design our homes without damaging the planet, while discovering some of the design pioneers who combine their passion for innovation and inspirational design with care for the Earth.
On Friday 11th May, Friends of The Earth discussed and offered advice on how to Detox the Air in Your Home whilst on Saturday, 12th May Kevin hosted a panel discussion surrounding Sourcing Sustainably joined by Friends of the Earth and a host of salvage experts.
