For most buildings, lighting remains one of the largest energy consumers and in the it can account to between 15-20% of a typical household’s electricity bill or in some cases even more. In this short session James Poore, Lighting Designer and creative director of JPLD will attempt to delve deeper into how we can be more sustainable in our approach to lighting, what sustainability means in terms of lighting and how with some thought and considered interventions we can make projects more sustainable, and, in doing so make them not only benefit the planet but also ourselves as individuals, by lighting our homes in a more user centric and biophilic manner.
