Sara Howard
BA Ceramic Design, Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, UAL 2020
Sara has written a definitive manual entitled Circular Ceramics and created a collection of tableware made entirely from industrial waste – on show on the GREEN GRADS stand together with her waste experiments, and a film about her process. She calls her work “an industrial symbiosis,” which could be applied to many industries.
Recently, Sara and Gabriel Lau (managing director of Golden Earth Developments) have founded Golden Earth Studio to foster sustainable development on a wider scale by transforming waste. A current project is supplying artists with clay from building construction. Sara won the coveted Earth Award at GREEN GRADS at Planted last year, and is now in Bali putting her ideas into action as consultant to a large ceramic producer. But you can see her film/work, and access her Circular Ceramics book through her website. She is represented here by Gabriel Lau.
