Rachael Emous-Austin
Rachael is a RHS award winning garden designer and chartered landscape architect; qualifying in the late 1990's, she has many years of experience behind her. Rachael co-directs Austin Design Works, a certified B Corporation alongside her brother Matt an architect, and together they design beautiful, nature-led bespoke and sustainable landscapes and buildings in the Cotswolds and beyond.
Rachael says that one of her best-used tools is a calculator, and had she known that working out levels would be so much of her job, she may have retrained as an engineer! With a plethora of experience working on beautiful and often historic gardens for homeowners as well as designing public gardens, Rachael is passionate about designing spaces that bring joy and serve nature well, and she knows that making useable landscapes that are easy to move about for everybody brings equality and value to a scheme.
