Poppy is the granddaughter of John Connell OBE who lobbied the Noise Pollution Act through Parliament founding The Noise Abatement Society in 1959. Quiet Mark's third-generation platform leads a groundbreaking business strategy to reduce noise pollution with the Buy-Quiet and Design-Quiet movement alongside Quiet Mark’s Find Your Quiet TV & Radio campaign.

The Sunday Times newspaper named Poppy “the Queen of Quiet” in 2021 feature story, a passionate campaigner on the impact of sound on well-being over the past decade and a half, regularly asked to contribute to top international news titles on TV and radio.

Poppy is also a successful film producer, artist and actress starring in both Hollywood movies and popular UK TV dramas. Her feature film release as Executive Producer In Pursuit of Silence in partnership with Quiet Mark premiered to rave reviews with worldwide cinema/streaming release following a highly successful festival run.
