Mark Shaw
Mark founded Studioshaw in 2016 after spending time training at RSHP, Foster + Partners, Hopkins Architects, Universal Design Studio, Morris + Co and Ushida Findlay. He has spent over 18 years delivering award-winning projects across hospitality, cultural, workplace and mixed-use sectors.
Outside the studio he has self-built his own home in Walthamstow, winner of a RIBA London Award, Highly commended for the Manser Medal 2026, an Architect’s Journal Award for Project Under £500k and a Civic Trust Regional Award. It also featured on Grand Designs: RIBA House of the Year on Channel 4. The house embodies the low-impact, low-tech
RE:LOW principles that runs through everything Studioshaw does.
Mark is a RIBA Architecture Ambassador and in 2026 has been appointed as both an RIBA Awards Judge and a World Architecture Festival Judge.
He has previously served as a member of the Lewisham Design Review Panel. He has been a guest critic at both the Welsh School of Architecture and the Bartlett, UCL. Studioshaw is a sponsor of Architecture LGBT.
