Luis Chuh-Wei
Luis HO is a furniture designer and maker who graduated from the MA Design: Furniture course at Central Saint Martins and is based in London.
His material-based approach explores how furniture can stimulate senses beyond sight, producing objects with a tactile quality that creates stronger links between people and the materials that surround them.
His recent collection, GROUND, reflects this approach by exploring a bio-based composite made from cork granules and natural latex. Combining an irregular, earth-like appearance with warm and resilient surfaces, the collection challenges expectations of how furniture should look and feel while exploring honest use of materials to form more considered relationships with everyday objects.
HO's work has been shown worldwide, with the GROUND material studies displayed at SaloneSatellite during Milan Design Week 2026, after which the collection was shortlisted at the New Designers fair 2026 and showcased at Material Matters during London Design Festival 2026.
