Kirstie Waterston is a journalist and interiors enthusiast slowly restoring the Victorian cottage in Scotland she shares with her husband and young boys. With a background in art and history, Kirstie is passionate about preserving character in period homes as part of a more sustainable renovation.
Documenting the reality of a DIY, live-in renovation on Instagram, Kirstie’s interiors are inspired by bygone eras, thrifted finds and vintage pieces (including the floorboards of her old maths classroom).
Kirstie was a finalist in ‘Best DIY Creation’ and winner of ‘Best Before & After Transformation’ at the 2025 ufurnish.com home awards.
