From a studio workshop based in Surrey, Jane Goodman founded HOC (Home Office Chic) in 2017, initially to upcycle bureaux, refinished office chairs and furniture for home and home offices.
As the business grew it changed towards offering a wider range of commissions using her wealth of skills for painted furniture and light upholstery - tailored to give a unique design, to match customers styles and needs.
Being sustainable and endeavouring to use ECO friendly products to achieve results is key to upcycling at HOC. That includes any solvents for stripping furniture, alongside eco-Frenchic Paint, and sealants where possible. Fabrics produced from recycled bottles are on offer for upholstery projects.
Projects are variable - from small household items, through to re-covering an antique rocking chair or ageing a large dresser. No two jobs are the same!
As a proud stockist of British ECO brand Frenchic Paint, Jane is always happy to educate and help others achieve results though workshops, both scheduled and bespoke.
It is an honour to be a part of the House of Upcycling, who have curated this year's Upcycling Hub at Grand Designs Live ExCel and continue to lead, educate, and inspire others in Creative Re-use.
