Helen Elks-Smith
Helen runs her design studio from the beautiful New Forest, working across the UK on a range of projects from small gardens to country estates. Creating timeless gardens that are sensitive to their location, she believes that a beautiful, well-designed garden can have a hugely positive impact on our well-being.
In 2019 Helen was made a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers for her outstanding contribution to the industry and has won numerous awards including two RHS gold medals, three design awards from the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers (SGLD) and two Design Excellence Awards from the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).
Helen is a popular public speaker, both here and abroad and often writes for a number of magazines. Helens work is regularly featured in garden design books and magazines both in the UK and internationally.
Helen was recently seen in series 1 & 2 of BBC’s Your Garden Made Perfect.
Helen has been included in House & Garden Top 25 garden designers in the Uk for a many years and in 2023 Gardens Illustrated announced Helen as one of the ‘Most inspiring female garden designers in British History’.
