Fi Boyle Garden Design
Gardening is part of my DNA. I have gardened with my father from a young age, which is where I first discovered my love of plants and gardens. Creativity has always been central to who I am, and I originally trained as a graphic designer at Central Saint Martins. From there, I went on to work with a range of creative and innovative companies across design, illustration, marketing and operations.
In 2008, my passions for design and gardens came together when I completed a Diploma in Garden Design at the highly regarded Garden Design School. I graduated with distinction in 2009, winning the Student of the Year Award. Following this, I designed an award-winning therapeutic show garden for the charity Combat Stress at the Royal Hampton Court Flower Show in 2010, winning a Silver Medal.
Since then, I have been running Fi Boyle Garden Landscape Design & Consultancy, based in the South West but working nationwide. I am also a member of the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers (SGLD).
For me, a house without a well-designed garden is like a story without an ending, never wholly satisfying. Gardens and their surrounding landscapes play a vital role in bringing calm and perspective to our busy lives. The space around your home, no matter how large or small, should be somewhere you genuinely want to spend time: a peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day, or to share with friends and family.
I see every garden as an extension of the home, a living, evolving haven. Each project brings its own challenges and demands thoughtful, creative solutions, which is what continues to inspire and challenge me as a designer.
