New to GDL this year is Niwaki. We’ll be showcasing the Niwaki Tripod Ladders and the core range of Pruning and Garden Tools. This includes hand forged secateurs, topiary clippers and shears, as well as the mighty Hori Hori and other essentials for the garden. We have more ‘Great Stuff’ for inside the home, the hugely popular Lucano step-stools – a multi-functional exquisitely designed product for small space living. Finally if you are a keen cook, don’t miss our Japanese Kitchen Knives. We have an extensive range which all share the same hand forged craftsmanship and quality with of course, those incredibly sharp carbon steel edges.
Niwaki are renowned for the quality of their products - the material, the craftsmanship and the usability. It all began when founder Jake Hobson went to Japan ‘to see the cherry blossom’ and never really came back. Time spent working at a tree nursery in Osaka introduced him to 3 legged tripod ladders and the simplicity of Japanese secateurs. The idea grew from there, into what Niwaki is today - great stuff from Japan.
Founder Jake Hobson says ‘Niwaki has grown organically as a company and with all the products hand selected by myself, we don’t have a single product I haven’t used on a daily basis. We are proud of all our products, they work, they last and we look forward to showing them to the discerning Grand Designs visitors’.
You can see all the Niwaki products on stand G19 where Jake and the team will be on hand with expert advice.
