Vanessa is a self-taught abstract artist. Born in Caracas, Venezuela and currently living in the UK. She finds inspiration in the simple things in life and the freedom to experience and express her emotions and feelings through her paintings.
Her process starts by creating textures and marks on the canvas with pallet knives, markers and other tools. Then, layers of acrylic paint start to flow, using additive and subtractive techniques until she is satisfied with what she sees. Vanessa describes her creative process as one of discovery and joy.
Freed from any sense of failure or urgency, she strives to convey a deep sense of beauty that can put the observer in a good mood with a single glance.
