An off-grid heating blanket
 
As energy bills soar, more people are drawn into relative poverty – at least 14.5 million according to the UK Parliament, reporting in 2022. Mireille’s People Power features a heated Solar Blanket, powered by a solar panel placed in front of a window, which works well in most weather conditions. The panel charges a portable power bank (which can also supply other home gadgets). The Solar Blanket is a warming layer to sit or lie on, and one person can use it folded or several people when opened out. It gives warmth just where it’s wanted: no energy is wasted heating an entire space. “Sustainability should be more accessible and affordable, with inclusive ways to create comfortable homes for everyone. And, for the self-sufficient,  my Solar Blanket is off-grid.”
