Anselm’s approach to design is to mentally conceptualise form before putting pen to paper or giving any thought to the construction process. Only when an idea is fully developed do we produce technical drawings and consider the methodology required to convert concept into reality. This approach to design not only encourages innovative problem solving but is often the motivation required to train oneself in new techniques. It is a beautiful realisation to work in an industry which is so extensive, and moving at such a pace technologically, that there will never be a point at which one stops learning.
