A concept design for a luxury hospitality experience set within the Scottish Highland wilderness. The internal footprint of the building was to be no larger than 50sqm, but the spaces had to feel generous, warm, welcoming and intimate. The design responds to its scenic context by orientating key spaces towards specific views. The spaces are arranged to correlate to one another and to functional external spaces.

The layout re-imagines the traditional layout of a sophisticated guest suite to provide greater flexibility and functionality whilst maintaining the level of refinement expected of such accommodation.

As with all of our projects, the interplay between materials and natural light is explored throughout the day and through the lens of how the end user will move between and around the spaces as they use their suite.
