Q. What is the height of a shell scheme?
The shell scheme walls are 2.74m high. Your ceiling height may be lower in places; please refer to the Shell Scheme Stand information in the Exhibitor Manual for full information.
Q. What is the shell scheme made from?
The shell scheme is a traditional system constructed of timber batons with a plywood covering and are 2.74m high. These create smooth walls with no divisions and are painted white. You will also have a fascia board to delineate your stand area, this is 30cm deep. Please note that you cannot fix to or cover the fascia. All shell schemes are provided with a name board affixed to the fascia on every open side.

Q. What is the maximum build height of a space only stand?
The maximum build height is 6m. Any build over 4m will require structural calculations and will incur an additional charge.

Q. How long do I get to unload at the show?

Q. How much does it cost to park at the venue? Are there any parking passes during the event?
Standard parking at £20 per day.
You will receive two free parking passes per stand. Additional standard parking is £16 per day or £12 if you book in advance online.
The NEC has over 20,000 parking spaces onsite, which are categorised into North, East, South and West. Upon arrival at the NEC, traffic officers will direct you to the most convenient parking area, however, it is recommended that you refer to The NEC Site Map before your arrival.
Disabled parking for any vehicles displaying a blue badge is available and situated close to the halls for easy access. Both standard and disabled pre-paid parking is available.
If you choose to pay on the day, tickets can be purchased from ticket machines during your visit and presented at the exit of the car park when you leave. Shuttle buses operate between the car parks and the show.

The NEC is well sign-posted from the M6 (J4), the M42 (J6), the A45, A446, M1 and M40.

Q. How do I access the event via train?
The NEC is located less than a ten-minute walk from the Birmingham International Railway Station. Direct services run all day. If you are travelling from further afield you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, less than a 15-minute journey away.

Q. How do I get more complimentary tickets?
We can provide you with a weekday digital code to send out to customers, clients and staff so they can download a ticket online. Please visit the Complimentary Tickets page to fill out our form. Alternatively use the ticket code GDLEXHIB for £10 weekend tickets.
Q. What are the show opening times?
10am - 6pm: (4, 5, 6,10, 11 May)

Q. Where do I pick up my exhibitor pass?
From the box office located outside the hall. Exhibitor Passes will be automatically allocated based on stand size: one pass per 3sqm (with a minimum of three per stand and a maximum of 30). There is no need to submit a list of names for your passes; the passes will show your company name but will not include the names of staff.
