Circular Ceramics
Many raw materials used for ceramics may run out in the next 30 years, but makers could use materials from Britain's abundant industrial waste. This concept is called Circular Ceramics, and it’s being pushed forward by the GREEN GRADS. Gabriel Lau has been working with award-winning GREEN GRAD Sara Howard (currently working as a consultant in Bali) to establish the GOLDEN EARTH STUDIO to repurpose excavated building clay for ceramics. Turns out it’s not that easy, but clay has now been distributed to a raft of practising potters and students. Be the first to hear all about it – and share the secrets of sustainable ceramics with our GREEN GRADS, who are out in force on our adjoining GREEN GRADS stand.
