Emma Priestland is the Plastic Pollution Campaigner at Friends of the Earth. She has worked on the problem of plastic pollution for six years, mainly in Brussels advocating for ambitious European legislation to reduce plastic use and develop better ways of managing waste. She has a background in marine biology and worked as a scuba diving instructor for a number of years before becoming a policy geek.
