Paul Thomas (director at Thomas & Spiers architects) has been teaching architecture and environmental design for over ten years at both Nottingham University and the Architectural Association. Before establishing the practice (with Christophe, his then next door neighbour), he worked for de Blacam and Meagher in Dublin, Hopkins Architects, and for Sir Robert McAlpine on high profile projects such as the Millennium Bridge and New British Library. He has also worked on voluntary community construction projects in Bolivia, South Africa and Arizona. He is currently building his own house !
