Project Overview

Geoff and Mona saw the potential in an unused corner at the bottom of their Nottingham garden—a peaceful, tree-lined spot that deserved to be enjoyed. Rather than going ahead with plans for a bungalow, they opted for a fully insulated 7.5m x 4m garden room, finished with a stylish combination of Cedar and Marley cladding that blends beautifully with its woodland surroundings. The result is a versatile, year-round space for working, exercising, making music and relaxing, giving the whole family somewhere to escape and unwind.

How do you use your outdoor space?

The garden room was designed as a dedicated multifunctional space that could be adapted for a wide range of activities without needing to be packed away at the end of the day. Zoned for work, exercise, gaming, music and socialising, it provides the family with a flexible extension of their home. Its separate location also makes it ideal for louder hobbies, such as playing electric guitars, while offering plenty of space for creative projects, virtual reality and everyday working.

Design Service

The clients wanted to "keep it in keeping with the garden. Slightly secluded, shaded, greenery, in keeping with the woodland setting"

With this brief in mind, the expert design team worked closely with the couple to bring their vision to life. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the garden room blended seamlessly with its surroundings. From the combination of Cedar and Marley cladding that complements the mature trees to its discreet position at the bottom of the garden, the building was designed to feel like a natural part of the landscape.

Every garden building created is made to order. The experienced design team that works closely with each client to create a bespoke outdoor space tailored to their lifestyle, needs and garden.

Client review

'How does it feel to use your woodland-themed garden room?'

"When we're in the house looking out, because it is a garden room, it is great to see it lit up in a way that beautifies the product in itself. It brings with it a degree of tranquility I think. When coming into our garden room, it feels like you're leaving the house and you're going somewhere else. It's just good to have separate space and time. It just looks fantastic."
