Qualifying as an architect from the prestigious University Of Cambridge, Ashley has spent over a decade studying and developing his skills in the field of architecture, including gaining both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University Of Lincoln. Ashley started his career designing for the commercial, retail and leisure sectors whilst working for one of the world’s most highly regarded architecture practices in the centre of Birmingham. His work varied from housing development masterplans of 1100 homes to retail and leisure projects valued in excess of £180 million. During his time here he worked on projects both within the UK and abroad with esteemed clients such as intu and Her Majesty’s Crown Estate, with his first ever completed project being a luxury shopping centre in Tallinn, Estonia. Preferring the quieter Norfolk countryside to the hustle and bustle of busy Birmingham, Ashley moved closer to his family in Norfolk and joined our Agora Architects in 2016, heading up our major developments department. By 2023, Ashley Broughton had risen to Principal Architect at Agora Architects, with over 200 homes built including 14 award-winning contemporary properties.
