The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) represents 9,000 professionals working and studying in the field of Architectural Technology. CIAT is internationally recognised as the qualifying body for Chartered Architectural Technologists and professional Architectural Technicians.
Architectural Technology is the science and technical aspects of architecture primarily based upon the twin concepts of designing for performance and production through the use and integration of technology.

Terry Reynolds MCIAT: Terry Reynolds has been in private practice for 30 years, the last 5 years as Managing Director of Tweedale, an Architectural and Town Planning company with its base in Wolverhampton. Has worked nationally for many ‘blue chip’ companies, government and local government departments and for the past five years specialised in healthcare, education, leisure and housing. Terry is registered with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council to provide support to homeowners both in the public and private sector in relation to enhancement of property and disabled modifications to improve access and quality of life.
Bob Dilworth MCIAT: Bob has been drawing building plans since 1972 - working with builders and architects. He set up Dilworth Design in 1992 to offer a high quality, building plans service for householders and builders; specialising in new houses and all types of home extensions, alterations and conversions. Bob is a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, and is an accredited energy assessor for newly constructed dwellings.
David Moore MCIAT: Chartered Architectural Technologist, spent his early career employed by architects and a short spell in local Government. David has been a self employed Chartered Architectural Technologist for over 40 years during which time commissions comprise a multitude of domestic projects ranging from simple extensions to new houses and listed barn conversions.In addition, being manager of a 50 people strong building contractor, has given David a real insight to the complexity of the building process. Also, for some five years, undertaking design and build commissions during which he was "in the trenches" meaning that David understands the onsite reality of constructing a new home.The desire to embrace green technology has lead David to produce Energy Performance Certificates which give property owners an overview of their homes green performance.David looks forward to helping visitors on the Expert Advice Centre stand to realise their dreams.
