With beautiful fabrics, fine English heritage furniture, Cole & Son's Vivienne Westwood wall covering, trinkets, vintage clothing and Vintage Vivienne Westwood bridal dresses, this room show cases some fabulous products that have been sourced & founded in the UK.

About Kate Baxter

Kate Baxter is an interiors stylist who lives and works in London. After graduating with a degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Westminster, where she specialised in Production Design and Art Direction, Kate turned her attentions to styling interiors for photographic shoots, and has been working in the industry for the past three years.

She began her career with an internship at Elle Decoration, and then moved onto working as a freelance styling assistant at Wallpaper* magazine. Since then, she has assisted many well-known stylists, and has worked on both editorial shoots and advertising campaigns, for clients such as Focus, Heals, John Lewis, Laura Ashley and Habitat. She has also spent time working in the offices of Living etc and House & Garden.

Kate has a strong passion for mid-century modern interiors and enjoys scouting out unique vintage and antique finds at London's many outdoor markets and car boot fairs. As well as styling interiors, she writes a successful interiors and inspirations blog, www.fabricofmylife.co.uk, which was recently included in The Times Online's list of the top 50 design blogs in the world.

Cole & Son has a fascinating history.  Founded in 1873 by John Perry, son of a Cambridgeshire merchant, the company then called John Perry Ltd - was originally situated in a wallpaper mill in Islington, north London built by John Perry at the bottom of his garden, an area famous for the 190 hand block printing companies working there in the 18th and 19th centuries.   Today Cole's factory is in Haringey, just a few miles further north of the original site, while the showroom is in the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
