head shot 250Interior Design company offering inspiration for your space. Residential and commercial projects.

Founded in 2009 by Amanda Neilson, Amanda Neilson Interiors has intentionally remained small and friendly, offering clients a practical and personal service when their project is underway. Projects are residential and commercial from kitchens and bathrooms to complete house renovations and warehouse style offices. Clients are introduced through business networking or by personal recommendation and some clients have been working with us for several years. We look at the 'bones' of the property first to make sure it is sound before embarking on a refurbishment and we have a strong network of construction professionals who we work with. We have found that every project is unique, like the client himself and so we offer a unique approach with a flexbile way of working ranging from an hour's consultation to a complete design service tailored to the needs of the client and the nature of the project.

Amanda began her career in Fashion Buying after graduating with a degree in Clothing Design and Production Management at MMU Manchester and worked at various High Street retailers before having a career break and moving to the USA with her young family.

During her time overseas she studiedInterior Design as a 'Distance Learning' student from the KLC School of Design. On her return to the UK, she worked for Laura Ashley for several years as an Interior Designer before setting up on her own in 2009. Amanda says that the transition from fashion for people to fashion for interiors has been logical as the design process is the same whatever the product is. Amanda has a passion for good design and loves to visit art galleries and museums on her travels to recharge her inspiration batteries. Amanda is married and has two teenage children and is currently in the middle of the planning process to build a holiday home in Puglia, Italy.
